Cynthia Zeki, Ph.D., RMT

Cynthia is a heart-based energy healer, teacher, speaker, author, and radio host who lives and works in the loving energy of the heart. She loves to help others discover the gentle joy, deep peace, and profound love in Heart Living through retreats, individual consultations, and her monthly internet radio show,Wake Up Sunshine!  She is a co-author of the book Extraordinary You: The Art of Living a Lusciously Spirited Vibrant Life.

Cynthia Zeki, Ph.D., RMT first became interested in alternative therapies while teaching in China and Asia  in the 1980′s. While in China, she took classes in Tai Chi and meditation, and became fascinated by these different modalities and their effectiveness in reducing stress and pain, and their ability to restore peace and balance to the body and mind.  She received her Ph.D. in Education from Ohio State, and moved to Chicago to take an Assistant Professor position at Roosevelt University.  Cynthia has also taught at colleges and universities in Ohio and Florida.  In 2000, Cynthia decided to pursue her interest in alternative health and wellness and became a nationally-certified massage therapist and reflexologist.

Dr. Cynthia’s spiritual gifts were reawakened in 2004 during a class in Ortho-Bionomy. Through further study she became a Reiki Master Teacher in the Japanese Usui Tradition.  She has received tutoring and mentoring in Akashic Record Reading, Reiki Crystal Healing and the Twelve Ray Tradition; she has also received much of her heart-based wisdom by Divine Guidance through intensive meditation, self-healing and other energy work.  Additionally, she is an active member of the A.R.E. and has taken many classes at the A.R.E. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va, including Regeneration Therapy.  She has served on the board of Unity of Lincoln Park and is a member of Unity in Chicago.  The Unity teachings of positive spirituality influence and guide her work.

Thomas Frierson

Thomas Frierson has many years of experience exercising and honing his incisive interpersonal skills in groups and one-on-one situations, which makes him a dynamic workshop leader and allows him to easily relate to his Reiki clients.

Following completion of his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois with a concentration in psychology he worked at a community based outpatient mental wellness facility. During this period Thomas explored mental wellness concepts that emphasized total mind & body healing along with looking at environmental factors. His work during this period also fostered a curiosity for various religious ideas including Buddhism, Islam and Christianity.

Corporate America came calling with an opportunity to join a premier Fortune 500 company. As a sales executive for various corporations, Thomas has been able to learn, travel and discover ways to connect to people on a professional and personal level. He has been successful by being able to “sense and intuit” the important issues within a business situation. Still interested in mental and spiritual wellness, Thomas continued to explore ideas about religion and the metaphysical and look for more value and meaning in his work.

Thomas met his kindred spirit in Cynthia Zeki. They have together dove deeply into understanding metaphysical ideas and concepts while discovering and exploring their individual spiritual gifts.

Thomas is a Heart-Based Reiki Master with claircognizant skills, and enjoys using sound in his healing practice.
